Tom Lewis Classic

We hosted our first tournament of the season and under the new staff in conjunction with the East Fairmont Junior Wrestling Club. We thought we would honor the man who loved EF athletics (wrestling specifically) to his core. I am thankful for T. Lew’s dedication to our program for decades!

HS tourney: Tournament went great outside of a few hiccups (as to be expected). We started with 4 mats and had to shut down one close to 11 am because we were just moving too quickly! However, multiple teams are wanting to come back and a handful have already reached out to come next year. Overall success!

Youth tourney: WENT GREAT! We were cleaned up and out of there by about 2:30. A++++

Wrestling: We did pretty well. Came away with 5th place as a team, lost a few matches we shouldn’t have, but also had a few of our athletes show up! Left EFHS with 3 champs, 1 runner-up, a fourth, a fifth, and 2 sixths. Blake Ringer improved to 17-0 and was voted Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament! Coach Lewis would have been very proud of our efforts!
